Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1
Manali to Jobra u2014 Trek to Chikka
Jeep drive from Manali to Jobra base. 2-hour easy trek through oak and pine forests to Chikka campsite (3,050m). Evening acclimatisation walk.
Day 2
Chikka to Balu ka Ghera (3,600m)
4u20135 hour trek through the stunning Rani Nala river valley, passing Jobra village. Camp at the beautiful alpine meadow of Balu ka Ghera.
Day 3
Hampta Pass Crossing (4,270m) u2014 Descend to Shia Ghoru
The highlight u2014 steep climb to the Hampta Pass with 360u00b0 panoramic views of Pir Panjal and Deo Tibba. Dramatic descent into the barren Lahaul landscape to Shia Ghoru camp.
Day 4
Shia Ghoru to Chatru u2014 Drive to Chandratal
Trek through the otherworldly Lahaul Valley following the Chandra River to Chatru. Jeep ride to Chandratal Lake (4,300m) if weather permits.
Day 5
Chandratal u2014 Return to Manali
Morning at the stunning crescent-shaped Chandratal Lake. Drive back to Manali via Rohtang Pass. Trek ends.
