Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Kaza (3,800m) u2014 Acclimatisation

Arrive Kaza. Full rest day for acclimatisation. Trek briefing and gear check.

Day 2

Kaza to Kibber Village (4,270m)

Drive to Kibber. Acclimatisation walk around the village. Watch the plains for wildlife.

Day 3

Kibber to Base Camp (4,700m)

Trek from Kibber to the Kanamo Base Camp. High-altitude landscape of rocks and moraine.

Day 4

Base Camp to High Camp (5,200m)

Steep ascent to High Camp. View of the route to summit.

Day 5

Summit Day u2014 Kanamo Peak (5,974m)

3am start. Long rocky ridge climb to summit. 360u00b0 panoramic views of Spiti Valley and trans-Himalayan peaks. Descend to Kibber.

Day 6

Kibber to Kaza u2014 Departure

Drive to Kaza. Depart for Shimla/Manali.
