Arrive Varanasi. Check in to ghat-view hotel. Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat u2014 one of India's most mesmerising rituals.

Day 2

Sunrise Boat Ride and Ghat Walk

Pre-dawn boat ride on the Ganga to witness sunrise on the ghats. Walking tour of the 84 ghats u2014 Manikarnika, Dashashwamedh, Assi. Old city lanes.

Day 3

Sarnath and Ramnagar Fort

Buddhist pilgrimage to Sarnath where Buddha gave his first sermon. Ramnagar Fort museum across the Ganga.

Day 4

Dev Deepawali u2014 The Main Event

The festival of Kartik Purnima. As darkness falls, millions of diyas are lit on all 84 ghats stretching 6km along the Ganga. The most spectacular sight in India.

Day 5

Morning Aarti and Departure

Final sunrise Ganga Aarti. Departure.
